The end of a chapter
6 years ago, I was asked to paint a surfboard and a journey began...
Now, 92 surfboards later, I find myself reflecting on everything this journey has been.
Each board carries more than paint —
They hold memories.
Stories shared with me.
Photographs handed over with trust.
Pieces of people’s lives, transformed into something lasting.
I’m currently working on surfboard number 93.
And with that, I’ve made a decision that feels both emotional and right…
Surfboard number 100 will be my final commissioned piece.
There are only three spots remaining.
This isn’t goodbye to painting — it’s simply a turning of the page.
I feel drawn toward creating larger canvas works, expanding my fine art prints, and slowly building a collection that can one day be exhibited and experienced in a new way.
Surfboards will always be part of my story.
But this chapter feels ready to close — intentionally, and with meaning.
One of the most special parts of this transition is what comes next…
I’ll be creating a book documenting all 100 surfboards — the artwork, the stories, and the journey of giving new life to old boards. A way to honour everything this has been.
But here is the exciting part...
If you’ve ever felt connected to my surfboards, or imagined having one of your own, I would be so honoured to create one of the final pieces for you.
