Losing my Painting Mojo!

Losing my Painting Mojo!
Studio Cat is always there for support!

Hello there!

Thank you for being here!

I have to be honest with you - my painting mojo has disappeared over the past couple of weeks. I have really been struggling with work / life balance and I think I have been missing the whole point of why I paint. I have been finding it hard to get a solid couple of hours in the studio to paint and so I just haven’t been painting. I think I have been clinging onto the hope that I can have this uninterrupted time in the studio when it is just not going to happen due to a lot of different reasons.

I have come to the realisation that ANY time in the studio is PRODUCTIVE time. It doesn’t have to be a six hour painting session. As long as I am in the studio doing something - that is a positive use of my time. Even if I just go in for 15 minutes at a time.

I think being able to paint and create art is wonderful but to also be able to say that you do it for a job is incredible. My mindset has had a shift for the better and I feel so much more positive and I am excited to be feeling creative again!

I have many projects coming up that I can’t wait to share with you.

Only Six Painting Spots Remain!

On the Easel

I am currently working on Surfboard Number 89. This is a commissioned piece of Marney Bay in the Pilbara. There are still a couple of personalised details to come but I am making progress.

I also have an exciting project on the horizon involving a local surf school... more details to come very soon!

BUY THE ART

This is your sign to buy some ART!

Why You Should Consider Buying Art for Your Home

Art isn’t just for galleries—it belongs in your everyday space. Here’s why:

  1. Aesthetic Appeal – Art brings color, texture, and style to your home.
  2. Personal Expression – Your choice of art reflects who you are.
  3. Emotional Connection – A meaningful piece can evoke deep feelings or fond memories.
  4. Conversation Starter – It often catches the eye and sparks dialogue.
  5. Investment Value – Some works appreciate over time, adding financial value.
  6. Support for Artists – Your purchase uplifts real people and creative communities.
  7. Mood Booster – Art can uplift and inspire, improving your well-being.
  8. Personal Growth – Collecting art sharpens your eye and enriches your taste.
  9. Unique Touch – Original pieces make your home stand out.
  10. Pure Enjoyment – Above all, art is meant to be loved.

So go ahead—find or commission a piece that speaks to you - you’ll never regret surrounding yourself with beauty and meaning. Your walls (and your heart) will thank you!
