I’ve been sitting with this for a while, trying to find the right words.

When I first began painting surfboards, I never imagined it would become this. I didn’t think about numbers, endings, or legacy — I just followed a quiet pull to create, trusting it would lead me somewhere meaningful.

Nearly six years later, with 91 surfboards painted and so many hours poured into this work, I feel nothing but gratitude. Every board carries a story that wasn’t mine alone — memories shared with me, photographs handed over with trust, emotions woven carefully into paint. To everyone who invited me into those stories: thank you. You changed my life more than you know.

I’m currently working on surfboard #92, and after a lot of reflection, I’ve made a decision that feels both emotional and right.

Surfboard number 100 will be my final commissioned surfboard.

I already have four boards booked, which means there are only four commissioned spots left before this chapter comes to a close.

This isn’t goodbye to painting — it’s simply a turning of the page. I feel called to explore new creative space: larger canvas works, expanding my fine art prints, and slowly building a body of work that can one day be exhibited and shared in a different way. Surfboards will always be part of my story, but commissioned pieces will end at #100.

One of the most meaningful parts of this transition is that all 100 surfboards will be documented in a book — the images, the stories, and the journey of transforming old boards into deeply personal works of art. It feels like the right way to honour what this chapter has been.

If you’ve ever felt a connection to my surfboards, or imagined owning one someday, I would be incredibly honoured to create one of the final commissioned pieces for you.
