A Letter From the Artist
Hello lovely friends,
As I sit in my studio today — ocean breeze drifting in, and about to start working on Surfboard #92 —I felt it was the right moment to write something a little more reflective. (please read to the end for an important shipping update!)
Nearly six years ago, I picked up an old surfboard after being asked if I could give it a new life. It was sun-faded, scratched, and tired… but still carried the stories of waves, salt water, and days spent under the Western Australian sky.
I didn’t know then that this one surfboard would be the beginning of a journey.
I didn’t know it would lead to 92 painted boards (so far), each one finding a home with someone who connected to it in their own way.
And I certainly didn’t know that one day, I would be reflecting on the fact that I now have just four painting spots left before this chapter draws to a close at 100 Surfboards.
It feels surreal. Beautiful. Bittersweet.
While the surfboard series will soon wrap up, my studio has been anything but quiet.
I’ve been pouring my heart into canvas originals, fine art prints, and more recently, a new collection of merchandise—t-shirts and a 2026 Art Calendar featuring some of my favourite pieces. It feels exciting to see my work out in the world in new ways, carried into everyday life.
As Christmas approaches, I know how meaningful it is to choose gifts that feel personal and full of soul. If you decide to support my work this season—whether through a print, a canvas, a tee, or simply by browsing and sharing my art—please know how deeply grateful I am.
